I thought the event itself was absolutely excellent. I think the mix of speakers and content made the whole day a must attend event for firms.
This was my first event and I really enjoyed the presentations and understand some of the current risk mitigation options. The opportunity to network was especially useful for myself as this is the first time I’ve operated in the Legal sector so it was good to discuss individual war stories and understand some of the cultural nuances of the Partnership model.
It was a pleasure to participate in such a well organised event and at such a good venue
An excellent event. As Education Seminar Sponsors, we were pleased with both the quality and the number of attendees as well as the format of the conference. We are looking forward to the next edition of the event.
Great content, great location. Good balance of products being demonstrated in an environment that was conducive to discussion. Should be a feature on all Legal IT Directors’ and Senior Managers’ diaries.
Very useful day - great to see real life examples of what firms are doing to mitigate risk, what we can do to protect ourselves, and what's out there to keep us awake at night. Well worth the time out the office.
This was a very well attended event in a good quality venue, with a very full program and excellent networking opportunities. I was delighted to join an impressive list of speakers, with a depth of highly relevant experience, gained from an industry background.
I thought the conference was very informative, particularly the panel session from the clients at the end of the day. This really echoed the concerns and issues raised at the earlier presentations during the day, and showed us that the legal profession are rightly concerned to take information security seriously. The mix of presentations including clients, legal businesses and vendors brought depth to proceedings, it was a great opportunity to network with peers, and I had the opportunity to put faces to names of people I had only previously met via email or on the phone.
Like every AKJ event I have ever attended, Securing the Law Firm was absolutely first class in its venue, its programme and in the delegates it attracted; as good as it gets.
We were delighted with our participation at the STLF conference. This was our first engagement with AKJ, who produced a highly professional event which not only achieved our objectives as a sponsor but talking with the delegates also met theirs. AKJ made the whole process very easy indeed, guiding us through the build-up process and ensuring that all of our needs were met on the day.
I would like to say that we thoroughly enjoyed the event; the pre-event organisation was first class and the AKJ team were supportive. On the day everything ran like clockwork and we were pleasantly surprised to be overwhelmed with attendees to our presentation and the subsequent interest we received with visitors to our stand.
I was impressed with the overall organisation of the event. I certainly learnt a lot from the speakers. The content of the presentations was thought provoking and well delivered. I have taken away some valuable points which I will raise for follow up. I also took the opportunity to meet a few vendors and talk to delegates from other law firms about what they were doing in the Information Security space. The day was extremely valuable in terms of looking at industry approach and giving consideration to how the offerings could factor in strategy to deal with the evolving threat landscape.
I found the seminar to provide the right amount of infosec industry information directed at the right level, delivered in a professional and enjoyable environment.
The presentations were very relevant to the job I do and to the challenge which I suspect many law firms are facing today. I'd recommend it to anyone who has ever responded to a client security questionnaire or is on any part of the path towards ISO accreditation.
A fascinating conference giving useful insights and practical tips on security. Law firms must step up to the challenge and this course was a great starting point for that.
This was my first time attending and presenting at the Securing The Law Firm series. I am not only grateful to AKJ Associates for inviting me to contribute, but also for giving me the opportunity to access new content and knowledge, as well as extending my network to a sector that will hopefully become increasingly more aware of the threats associated with cybercrime. I would recommend this event to any law firm serious about maintaining their privileged client relationships in the 21st Century.
Having a security bespoke event for the legal community is essential as the profession has very specific needs, and “Securing The Law Firm” focuses upon these issues with clarity and vision. The behind the scenes organisation is impressive and the networking opportunities are excellent.
A great event bringing together law firms to discuss a common challenge… more events like this please, so we can further collaborate and share ideas on how we can apply the best security available.
