Len Hynds joined MTG, now the Nordic Entertainment Group, as Group CSO in September 2013, with responsibility for a global security management agenda spanning information security, business resilience, corporate, physical, and personnel security and also anti-piracy.  In July 2016 his role was expanded to incorporate the Group Risk function. He has more than 40 years security and investigation experience; having operated at the top of the UK’s most successful and innovative enforcement, intelligence and harm reduction units. Within the public sector he formulated and led delivery of two new national law enforcement units which delivered pioneering organisational benefits on behalf of UK government. He received industry wide acclaim for his role as first head of the UK National Hi Tech Crime Unit and is accredited with the development of the Serious Organised Crime Agencies most innovative department. He moved to the commercial world in 2008, as global head of anti-piracy enforcement for the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry where he modernised the music industries brand protection and anti-piracy capability, aligning security assets as business critical enablers for the growing on-line music market.
