The Mid Year meeting of e-Crime Middle East could not have come at a better time as the region is facing serious challenges on online banking fraud and identity theft. The presentations made by various speakers stressed upon the importance of multiple authentication, fraud monitoring and data protection to combat cyber crime. It was a great opportunity to understand the threats from different perspectives such as information security, fraud control, forensic investigations, audit, etc. The education seminars provided the right opportunity to hear from the subject matter specialists. Overall, it was a timely and an effective response by e-Crime Middle East to the increasing cyber threats in this region.
