Ben is the founder and owner of 3VRM, a specialist consulting firm focussed on Third Party Risk Management. Ben has almost 20 year’s experience in risk management, assurance and advisory work, mainly in financial services. As a Managing Director at Barclays and part of the Global Sourcing leadership team, Ben designed and led the firm’s Supplier Assurance capability, interacting with regulators and peer organisations to develop standards and approaches across various risk topics impacting Third Parties, including: Cyber, Security, Information Management, Resilience, Conduct, Regulatory Compliance, PCI-DSS, Sanctions and Anti-Bribery & Corruption. He joined Barclays in 2004 and built the Internal Audit capability and methodology around Third Party Assurance, before leading a group-wide programme to implement a standard global framework covering all aspects of Third Party Management from initial selection and on-boarding through the full term of the relationship. Prior to this, Ben trained as an accountant at Deloitte before focussing on Project Risk Management and Outsourcing Assurance. 3VRM are working with a number of leading technology companies who are committed to bringing innovative solutions to market to help improve approaches to Third Party Risk Management.
