Jaap Halfweeg is the Chief Information Security Officer for SVB Sociale Verzekeringsbank. In this position, he leads the organisation in the areas of information security, cyber resilience and business continuity. He is an experienced information security business leader, having previously worked as Global Information Security Officer for APM Terminals (Maersk Group), where he set up a Corporate Cyber Response Framework, which included training and performing successful exercises involving multiple global entities and business functions. Prior to this, he was CISO and Customer Security Compliance Officer for KPN Royal Dutch Telecom, where he was assigned to redesign and implement the KPN Corporate Security function. Jaap has been active in information security since 1996 and has a broad and deep knowledge of Information Security, Business Continuity Management, Cyber Resilience, Risk Management, Privacy and Compliance. As a former Business Operations Manager, he knows how to position and communicate information security in a value-generating business-centric manner.
