PCI DSS 3.0 is here. You ready?

nothing

1 January 2015 not only welcomed in a new year - which we hope proves to be great one for all our readers - but it also was the deadline for UK organisations to meet payment standards set out by PCI DSS 3.0.

The standard, which sets security requirements for all companies that access, store or transmit cardholder data and personally identifiable information, was published more than a year ago.

The main changes between PCI DSS versions 2.0 and 3.0 are highlighted here: https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/documents/DSS_and_PA-DSS_Change_Hi…
While a bit daunting upon review, it is generally agreed that if you were compliant with PCI DSS 2.0, then you are likely to be compliant with 3.0 standards from the Payment Card Industry.

But how can you make sure that you are meeting all 400+ requirements outlined in this revision of PCI DSS as efficiently and effectively as possible?

On January 22, we will be holding our 10th annual PCI London event at the Park Plaza Hotel in London (SW1). This event, exclusively available to senior security decision makers, will focus on the following topics:

-how to protect card holder data from increasingly advanced adversaries;
-how to engage the entire business to move your PCI beyond compliance;
-how to deploy a holistic approach to improve delivery through risk management;
-how to maintain compliance programmes to align with the evolving changes to the standards.

The event will be attended by more than 400 senior security stakeholders across all major industries. Speakers include experts from Visa Europe, Voltage, The Bunker, Thomson Reuters, FedEx and many more.

The conference is carefully designed to provide ample networking opportunities to afford the payment community an opportunity to discuss industry developments. This market-leading event is relevant to those interested in deepening their subject knowledge and catching up with new and existing peers.

We hope to see you there.
