Ashar Javed has been a valued member of the Hyundai AutoEver Europe GmbH team since 2015. He honed his skills through penetration testing and vulnerability assessments before becoming the manager of the security team in January 2022. Since November 2023, HAEE has assigned him the additional role of CISO. He also has three years of experience as a security researcher... at Ruhr-Universität Bochum in Germany, making him a seasoned cybersecurity professional with a strong background.
Ashar holds a PhD from Ruhr-Universität Bochum and an MSc from Technische Universität Hamburg-Harburg. He is a respected speaker at prestigious cybersecurity conferences such as BlackHat, HITB, and DeepSec.
Ashar's significant contributions to the cybersecurity world have earned him global recognition. He topped Microsoft's Top 100 Security Researcher List in 2018 and secured the fourth spot on Microsoft's Most Valuable Researcher List in both 2019 and 2020. In his free time, Ashar participates in bug bounty programs, continuously sharpening his skills and contributing to web application security.
